Yeh, so .... I'm tired of hanging around bars all the time. Tired of sitting around, staring at some dingy walls, and drinking for no reason.
Starting work cooking at a country club this Thursday, which is good stuff. Not sure yet what it'll pay, but it'll be good, regardless.
Met a girl a couple weeks back, we've been trading emails and such. She came by the bar last night right after we opened and we just chilled and talked for about 5 hours (the bar is dead on Sundays until about 1.30 or 2 anyways). It was nice. We're going out this week.
Did another catering event Saturday night for Wolfgang Puck Catering. I think I got on the good side of the head chef, a fellow Texas boy that's inked up all over. Cool cat. Remembered my name at the end of the night: when he was telling all of us that we could go and thanked everyone for coming out to help, he pointed at me and said specifically, "Jonathan, thanks for your help." He's the one whose nanny I met a couple weeks ago, and he remembered her telling him about me. I'm hoping that turns into some more regular work, as well.
