tonight, barley house to see the derby days play. my friends matt, meeker, and carter, and a couple dudes i don't know. after the show, after hours, had 2 options. went with one. should have gone with the other. nothing bad happened, but nothing good happened either. frankly, it was just kind of boring. oh well, you win some, you lose some.
rolled up to the studio to check email and this website. heard a bunch of gunshots somewhere nearby. the joy of the city, i suppose.
coming off a decent drunk, bored to tears at 4am, and not tired in the slightest. damnit. it's times like this that make me consider trying to find a girlfriend. i don't really think it's time for me to do that though, maybe after a few more months of solitude. but damn, it can get lonely.
oh ,,, if you remember the "confederacy of dunces / random chick in a bar kissing me" story from a few weeks ago, it had a sequel tonight. i was talking about the book with my friend fuqua, who was sitting across from me when i got kissed a few weeks ago, and this girl i didn't know walked up. she asked if she could take the barstool that my jacket was draped on but i wasn't actually sitting in. i told her to feel free, and pulled my jacket off. she then kissed me on both cheeks before taking the stool and ambling away. i'm not sure if it's fuqua or "confederacy" that pulls this off, or the magic combination of the two. maybe if i hang around with him in bars talking about that book more often, i'll get laid sometime in the next year.

at delilah's a while back, this couple was going at it near us. the girl was straddling him. they were both really unattractive, too so it wasn't even fun to watch. we must go there on heavy metal night once you move up here. mullets, thin lizzy, judas priest, cheap whisky. it fuckin rules. i still have a good dozen places for you to visit before we can consider you a member of the chicago chug-a- lug foundation.
