Huzzah for free booze!
Yesterday was FULL of it
It started with a wine and cheese tasting at one swanky hotel in Beverly Hills, which was supposed to be $45/person, but we got comped in, as knowing the right people is a good thing. It quickly turned from a tasting to a swilling, and we left full of cheese and feeling rosey.
Then we popped into another hotel in the area where we have friends, and crashed one of their poolside cabanas for a while, as the bartender brought out tray after tray of his signature cocktails, all on the house.
After that, it was a jaunt all the way out to Highland Park to "greet" a friend who'd been on the wagon for the last month and was having his first night back on the bottle. I walked into the bar and he started screaming in terror, knowing full well what sort of torture his liver was in for that night.
After that, it was back to the regular bar for a last couple beers.
I paid for none of this!
I did, however, pay for some pizza at about 3.30am, as the cheese had worn off and I was starving.
