charred meat, bowling, and booze indeed. i won 3 of 4 games ... game 4 i was a wreck hahah
afterwards, went to the Note, where there was some form of hip-hop thing going on ... the interesting part was when they started pulling people up from the audience to freestyle, and there were these 2 dues going .... i wasn't paying that much attention to what they were actually on about because i was hammered but then it got crazy -- almost like some kind of movie. one of the guys was apparently throwing around a lot of gangsta shit and the other guy was pissed about it so they were basically arguing back and forth about it, but in rhyme the whole time -- i thought it was staged at fisrt but apparently it wasn't. pretty trippy.
got home i guess a little after 4 ... got a wake-up call about 9.30 (ouch) about a job possibility that should let me stay in chicago ... hopefully should be settled by mid-july, which should be good timing for me to figure out what kind of place i can afford, etc., before i have to move

booked a trip to san diego this morning to go visit friends out there, in july. about 20 minutes later, got and email from the ceo guy i met on the plane, telling me he was headed back to SD after some meetings in detroit, and was going to keep looking into my case when he got home. wrote him back to let him know i'll be in town for a few days, hoping to swing a meeting

Glad you liked love like... they're from adelaide. We played with one of the singer's other bands when they were in melbourne. Completely different though.
there is some ok aussie hip hop,there is a crew called the Herd who are pretty good,but it does kind of sound odd with an aussie accent,and i heard these lebanese guys from the western suburbs who were hilarious....and this other guy named Ozi Batla who MC's with a few Drum n Bass crews...."we drop beats like they drop pills in Surry Hills".....haha
