I'm pleased to say that life is kicking ass right now. One of my best friends just married a guy that worships her. My side business is pulling in good money right now and increasing. House renovations are coming along nicely. School is looking like a growing possibility. And I officially have 2 full weeks of vacation time built up.

Valentine's Day... kryptonite for the single people of the world. As much as I wanted to go into a therapeutic rant about how much I hated Cupid's morbid sense of humor, I'm not going to be able to do that today. Yay for me. I finally signed on the house today, there were some paper work screw ups that caused a delay over the weekend, but the geniuses at the bank straightened them out.

Boo for me. The people that were forclosed on and evicted from the house took all the light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, fence, a/c unit, garage door and a ton of other stuff....

So, tomorrow is the big day; I sign the final papers and get the keys to my crappy little house. That's OK though, it'll be mine to do with as I please. No annoying landlords telling me what color it has to be or how big my pooch can be, I get to make my own rules. Life is good today.

OK, this week is starting off pretty good. Banker called today, I am officially a future home owner. We should close early next week. The house is trashed, but I'm saving a ton by investing some time and effort. Will be a decent place to call home or turn a profit if I decide to head west, don't know yet.
