I had forgotten what it was like to enjoy sweating. I hope I can make this a habit; I really missed sore muscles.

I really really really wanted to just leave early today, but it would have made everything too complicated. All that bullshit about making up hours in the same work week, and I haven't been around long enough for vacation time. It sucks.

It's apparently been Revenge of the Butt Rock NIght at Chez null. I started out listening to BOC's "Godzilla" and have since gone through several other albums to end up at "Leper Messiah". Weird day.

Other than that, everything proceeds apace. Hope all is well with the rest of you.

Good. Dealing with simple people makes me happy.

I just saw this show called Top Gear on the Discover Channel, and they had the Lancer Evo VIII on there.

Wow...

They raced it against a Lamborghini Murcielago, a car with 3 times the horsepower, 3 more cylinders, and 3 times the cubic capacity, and it was basically kicking it's ass. It was seriously impressive.

There's a trailer for V for Vendetta up on Apple.com, and perhaps it's the fanboy in me, but it doesn't look despicable. Plus, the release date is listed at the day before Guy Fawkes day, which I think is sublime.

And you KNOW this!

Well, it was more of an I'd like to know but I'm not going to ask directly because it might not be something you want to tell.

After a blissful three-and-a-half day weekend, I must return to work. I know what they managed to screw up in my absences; now I just need to figure out how to fix it.

In other news, I watched three movies in the theater, read the current issue of mental floss cover-to-cver, watched my favorite Firefly episodes, and listened to a lot of classic soul this...

Thinking has only ever either caused me trouble, or caused me to miss out on things I would have enjoyed. It's overrated.

When I decided to leave school in the fall, as soon as someone mentioned it as an option, I realized I had just been waiting for someone to do that, and when I was discussing the possibility with my friends and family I realized that all I was really doing was making sure they wouldn't all be disappointed in me for doing something I had already decided I wanted to do. So I just did it anyway, and they were all very supportive. it was a good lesson.

The slow groove of good 70's soul, fresh Rainier cherries, good bottled water, a soul-wrenching blue sky, clean air, the feel of a high-quality cotton shirt, and more--those are my happiness today.

Sorry I didn't get your reply in time the other night. But thanks for the offer.

What were your thoughts on it?
it_thing_hard_on:
I thought a time progression of that scene showing them with photos stapled all over their entire bodies would have been great. I also would have liked it if Tiny had left Cutter in the house to burn because if you remember anything of House of 1000 Corpses it was Tiny's father who set fire to him while he was sleeping.

And I might have had them get away in the end. I'm not a fan of happy endings but I felt it would have benefitted from a "Mosters we are, lest monsters we become" ending.

Today is better. I went to the gym and had pain au chocolat with fresh orange juice for breakfast.

I had nothing to do at work, since I'd made sure to have things done ahead of time, so I left early. Then I traipsed through the farmer's market in Bellevue. I read GQ out in the sun and now I'm going to see Wedding Crashers...

Eh, three weeks sounds like a good, round number at least. I'll give it a shot.

And I do like breaking hips.

In n' Out doesn't count, right?

Right?!

As much as I tell people that I don't have recognizable emotions, I do have moods, which are kind of bastard cousins of emotions. Tonight, I'm melancholy and contemplative. Why? No clue.

Life is, as most always, good for me. Hell, I got to see some friends I don't see often enough, so things were better than alright. Still, here I sit, one morose bastard,...

Yes, but where would we find a Chairman to decide what the secret ingredient will be?
mistersatan:
Ha! Excellent!

I'm kind of afraid what the secret ingredient would be, though. You know it's either gonna be pizza, or something impossible like rat shit.

Today, I made up a song about pooing that sounds suspiciously like "For Those About to Rock". I was singing it when I passed my CEO coming out of the bathroom. Then, I wonder why they think I'm eccentric.

Kicked back listening to Isaac Hayes. Bored and restless. So tired I can barely keep my eyes open and unable to sleep.

I hate when I get like this.

I can also play folly with my foe's sense of accomplishment by saying "Oh, so ya beat a one-legged opponent, matey? You must have a johnson like a ballista, ya wee coward."

Thank you. smile

Best thing about my new phone: I walked onto a crowded elevator just as my phone (in my front pocket) started playing "The Imperial March". Nothing like ominous, CD-quality noises coming from your crotch.

That is odd... maybe your childhood was completely lacking. Poor thing...

*snicker* Better than than annoying pop-music noises coming from your crotch.
