I watched The Virgin Spring this evening. I love Bergman and watching Max von Sydow when he was younger than I am now is kind of strange. I noticed something odd. I can watch violence and horrible things without flinching, but even the hint of a rape (understate as it was in this movie) causes me to flinch away. I suppose that's something in my favor.

I'm pretty much the same way. But then, violence in movies is much more common than rape in movies.
