Dinner at my favorite Japanese restaurant, Sin City at one of the neatest theaters in the world with friends, and seeing a giant, fat drunk get tasered by police.

I had the most bizarre run of bad luck today. Throughout it all, I never got upset.

Last night, I ended my depression and ennui by simply asking, "What the hell is wrong with you, you big drama queen?" I love being me.

A quiet, rainy Saturday night. I'm cold and the tea isn't warming me up. It'd be a perfect time for navel-gazing, but I don't do that. Instead, I think I'll listen to the rain, look out the window, and listen to Interpol. I don't think I'll sleep tonight. Call it a hunch.

First day back: promotion and a 15% raise.

The apartment is empty and spartan again. I've been moving nonstop for six hours trying not to think about it, but I'm out of chores.

Time to lie in bed and stare at the ceiling.

Another year older today. I'm still okay in the Logan's Run (movie version) of things, but a few more years and I'll have to think about running.

I saw a store called Fire and Sword Hobbies today. I optimistically parsed that as a store about hobbies involving fire, swords, or some magical combination thereof. This would have been approaching my ultimate store.

I have never been sadder to see Warhammer figures, and for me, that's saying a lot.
