It turns out that I will not be joining Seattle's newest technology incubator as CTO, and I think I'll be happier for it. It's kind of a neat feeling to turn jobs down. Feels sort of special.

In the words of Freud, "OMG."

Today on null, the stupidest dilemma of all time. A safe job or an uncertain one. Same salary, both's equity virtually worthless, one where I can do what I want but am on the hook for it, one where I'm always fighting against tradition but I'm not ultimately responsible.

I've rediscovered my love of L.L. Cool J, though.

Word.

I'd take the safe job, but then, I like security. I don't know if the same is true for you.

Today the world is just trying to see if it can make me freak out. So far, I haven't. I'm amazed.

This morning, I got my first rejection letter back from an agent, which always makes me feel like I'll never be a novelist. At work, my code displayed bug that was impossibly hard to predict just as our second largest customer is going into...

Yeah I have been saying I am 25 for about 6 months, I have inherited that from my Dad. It's true, peaks and dips. I am looking forward to a peak any time......NOW!

wink
charley:
Hahaha exactly, yes!!

I am not particularly worried about the actual age just all the things I feel like I should have done/be doing by now. It's an issue.

Saw A History of Violence and loved it. However, my overriding impression is that Maria Bello is criminally hot.

Just replace "slept" with "drank"

Really.

I'm so tired that I can't sleep, so I'm going to write a journal and listen to Kanye West's "Jesus Walks" a couple times. Maybe then to sleep.

Last night, I saw the midnight showing of Serenity. Sitting in the auditorium, I was struck by the obsessive fan culture. There were so many copies of Jayne's pom pom hat. There was a massively fat...

Eventful day, I started the interview process for Google! and confirmed that bacon pancakes are better in theory than in practice.

Yeah I can see that becoming a problem, so far it's been pretty nifty but they did send me the wrong DVD today which annoyed the hell out of me. I had them listed in the right order too, damn them. Aaaah La Dolce Vita, one of my favourite movies and also in my queue right now. I was thinking of doing a Fellini inspired set, even if I don't have quite the right figure for it wink
charley:
I love the Fellini aesthetic. Women who are larger than life and almost masculine with the clownish make up but voluptuous with the overtly feminine outfits. It's all so perfect. I don't have the figure for it but I had a thought about the scene from La Dolce Vita where Sylvia is in the fountain. Such a classic piece of cinema, it would make a great set but where to shoot it?

I'm extremely restless lately. Nothing can keep me amused, doing the simplest chores and errands is a battle with myself, and I can't concentrate. The worst part is that nothing is wrong with me or my life; I'm just being moody and depressed for no reason.

I periodically go through and delete my testimonials. Why? I'm not sure. Perhaps to keep my profile empty. Perhaps to keep people from seeing other people saying nice things about me. Perhaps to keep those nice things private.

Whatever the reason, thank you to everyone that's ever left one--from the people that say I'm intriguing to the one that said "Men want to be him,...

Good thing it was a post in the silliness board, then. That is an interesting read, though.

I'm definitely an American on the breat preference front.
charley:
I should delete most of mine too really, I am sure most of them are lies wink

You know it's not going to be a good day when your first thoughts are, "What time is it? Fuck that, what day is it?"
volks:
the truth is you've just been having too much fun to realize what day it is. wink

I had dinner with the charming Scorpio tonight. It was a wholly pleasant way to pass the evening.

I also had to get the turbo intercooler hose replaced in the Evo for a factory recall, which lead to me being in Everett. I'm a spoiled Eastside of Seattle boy these days, so Everett is an exotic trip to blue-collar-land without going near Tacoma. In the...

I am newly in love with Audioslave's song "Doesn't Remind Me". I have a long standing love of wistful, placid songs, and this one speaks to me.

The most interesting part of all this to me is that I actually bought it on CD. To tell the truth, I bought it because I forgot a CD for the car when I left the house, had...

So do you really not have a family?

I always feel guilty that mine is so great. Because I'm pretty much the only one I know whose family hasn't disintegrated in some way. I always want to share.

Hey, stud. Did you get my e-mail? I haven't checked it yet. Whatcha think? Lemme know. kiss

I had dinner at my favorite Japanese restaurant, drove my little black Japanese car around, and found myself bored to tears by a Japanese splatter film. I'm not sure whether being bored by a splatter film is worse than my apparent fixation on things from Japan lately.

It is pretty sad to be bored by a movie whose entire premise and plot involves school children...

I'm guessing "Suicide Club"?

Also, isn't that really fucking strange when one of those days happens? At least down here I can blame it on living in a region known for its' assholes.

I really liked Audition the most (did you see that with us?). The rest of the movies I've seen by him are pretty wacky and sometimes creepy but not really horror per se. They have their good points and bad.
