I'm sipping a bit of earl grey while eating a piece of buttered baguette and listening to the new Franz Ferdinand. Today, I'll get a project done at work and keep another on pace. Tonight, I'll watch Episode III and make a semi-spectabular dinner. Throughout it all, I'll wait to hear back about my interview.

Life is returned to normal.

Today:

- I got yelled at by a butcher at Whole Foods after I didn't understand what he'd mumbled at me. He wouldn't stop the harangue until another butcher told him to lay off and go in the back.
- I got rammed hard enough from behind by a shopping cart driven by a little kid that I doubled over in pain because the corner...

I got to see some people I enjoy seeing last night. I exchange a few pleasant words with someone whom I figured I would share an emnity.

Despite how yesterday afternoon proceeded, I'm determinted not to let myself slide backward. I'm making great strides at fixing those few things I don't like about myself.

Whoa that is exactly like me, well exactly like I have been up until this past year when I have been stuck in a balance between the two which doesn't appeal to my extremist nature.
charley:
You are right and it is weird that you should say all this because I was thinking about it earlier today. The cyclic nature of life, especially my life in comparison to other people I know, the cyclic nature of the town I live in etc etc

All whilst buttering some toast, I think I was high on cough mixture.

I hate it so much when I get angry. I wish it would really rain. Pouring rain goes with expensive vodka and brooding.

They ended this round of interviews with, "The next round of interviews may either be here or in Mountain View. There's a director here that owns the wireless stuff, so he'd probably want to meet you one-on-one before you go to Mountain View." That's of course if there is another round of interviews.

I feel like I've been put through a wringer.

I'm studying for an interview. God help me, I'm honestly nervous. It's like being a freshman in college all over again. Except I seem to be sorely lacking in coeds wanting threesomes.

Back to the Ramones and WML.

People are really pretty amusing in general.

Yes, that is precisely it. I just can't figure out why that's so terrible.

I only have two clocks in my apartment. One on the range, and one on the microwave that hangs over the range. My cell and computer have clocks of course, but they aren't always out there for me to see.

With so few clocks in my apartment, it perplexes me that I manage to look at the clock at least three times a week when...

Weirdly enough I had the exact same thing happen to me last summer, except my time was 15.14..it was really odd, although I think it was probably something to do with my routine at the time.

The apartment is orderly, quiet, and empty.

Liquor makes me fat. Painkillers don't.

Is it a good thing that the apartment is orderly, quiet and empty? I would think you'd like that.

Last night I pulled my little black Evo into my parking spot. I tucked my bokken under the strap of my backpack and pulled my Mizuno running jersey straight. Up in the apartment, I settled in to eat the yakisoba takeout I'd picked up and watch the latest Smallville. I know I've made mention of my amusement at my apparent Japan-mania before, but last...

A long weekend of doing nothing left me so exhausted that I had to take a nap at 8:15 this evening. Why am I back up already? Apparently my spirit cannot rest while I would have a DVD overdue. God damned Nicole Kidman movies.

Yeah, that's what happens when you get hired on to someone else's codebase. Ugh. At least it's not that hard to learn.

I tried twice today to decline a job offer, and the guy offering the job won't take the hint. I'm baffled by this.

Actually, this is like the time I sent a company the rejection of rejection letter.

"Thank you for your rejection letter of 5/28. Unfortunately, I will not be able to accept your refusal to offer employment and will be joining your firm...
