Harbin would be wonderful.

I think it will be a beautiful year for everyone. We all need to do just what you are doing. Focus on creating peace and happiness in our own lives. The more people who do so, the better the world will become. and soon enough there will be no war. Just a world filled with happy, centered and skilled people.

Hey sweet Juni,
Sounds like a wonderful year ahead.
I will be off the site for a while, a couple of months, but I am still interested in conversing with you, I really enjoy making new friends with open, spiritual people. Please e-mail me if you feel moved to do so, and we can just dialogue whatever is on our minds, I'm sure there's plenty to talk about. BTW, check out my journal post, you may enjoy it. Take care, Stay Nectary, Keep Living Love, it's working! :-)
Love and Blessings,
Jupiter

i am an incomplete godess. tell me what you want and i will manifest it for you, not sure what you need? i will seek out your potential and glorify your highest self. though when it comes to myself my magik is lacking. my insecurities consume me. i am afraid of what i want so i take what i have and push it away so...

I know what you mean. It's so much easier to be strong for another person's sake sometimes. That's why it's wonderful to stumble into other people who function the same way.

ok just a thought....the buddhist believe the most blessed level of samsara to incarnate into is ours/human. because in this realm we have the opprotunity to practice dharma. eventually there will be a "great enlightenment" so they say.
everyday more animal species become extinct. everyday the human population grows. see what i'm gettin' at? maybe everything is going as it should.

peace&blessings

You still there, Earth Mama? For what it's worth, they say I'll see some snow, tonight. Maybe, you sent some over for me. wink

a flower has opened
comfort uncontrolled
the tones played resonate
with my heart
and words spoken wrap
around my soul

before we were here
we were there
vibrating so quickly
shining like high beams
star children dancing
in the cosmic playground
creating light that
would blind the living
at times this brightness
shows threw your eyes
and it is then i know
we were never...

I don't have any of my Rumi with me at the moment, much to my chagrin. I should get my books back when I move next month though, so I'll have to let you know what my favorite is then. I really love The Music Masters though. The ending of it is heart-breakingly sublime and beautiful... "You want to throw stones at a mirror? I am your mirror, and here are the stones."

Wonderful.

my last two entries were parts of a prayer song we sang at the buddhist temple. i miss my sudays at the temple. me and my friends sitting with Sangha as he spoke Dharma. bald head and saffron robes his head always a bit tilted down with his eyes rolling up to make contact with ours...his lips always in half smile causing his large ears...

You smile like my friend Lavender!

I've read several of the things you've written since you've joined, and it has me thinking about what I've yet to learn. I don't really feel lost so much as I feel clumsy in my layman's applications of what I understand to be the teachings of the Buddha.

I've read some books written by Mahayanans, and while there is a small Theravadan community and forest monastery near my hometown, some of what I've read has been critical of this tradition as being dogmatic. I don't have the ability to make that judgment, or even evaluate the statement critically. I'm terribly curious about what a service is like, but I don't have the benefit of knowing any practicing Buddhists. I wouldn't know how to approach the community around the local temple. I'm a private person and somewhat timid. I just want to find a comfortable place to think and listen to the wisdom while I find my way.

Can you share anything of your own experiences in finding your religion? Your teacher? Your path?

I'm full of questions, please forgive me smile

this human life with all its freedoms,
extremely rare, with so much meaning
o bless me with this understanding
all day and night to seize its essence.

my body, like a water bubble,
decays and dies so very quickly
after death comes results of karma,
just like a shadow of a body.

with this firm knowledge and remebrance
bless me to be extremely cautious,
always...
