I have nothing to share today....maybe tomorrow will be more fruitful

Boring!
That apartment sounds like one of mine in college. It was nice when I didn't have any stuff, but now I need a space for painting/drawing/making a mess. Oh well, the living room floor will have to do for now.
_sarah_:
A stunning, thought-provoking, simplistic piece of prose. I do believe that belongs in an anthology... or a philosophy class.

Story time.....

Once upon a time (about 15 minutes ago, actually) I was trying to find a book that I need for class. It was somewhere in my apartment, but I couldn't find it. There were two books actually, one I had found, one I hadn't. So, as I was walking from my kitchen/bedroom tomy living room/library/computer room (I only have two rooms!). I saw...

I have an idea for a logo for the group, but I don't have photoshop either.

Idea: MLB logo in SG pink (left of batter) and gray (right of batter, duh) with the SG logo in the lower left hand corner (where the baseball normally is).

So, today has been ok. I worked all day, delivering pizzas in this shitty weather we have = not fun.

I watched Office Space for the 1,000,006th time when I got out of work.

I ordered an SG t-shirt and 100 stickers, time for some sticker fun.

I noticed something recently....this girl I have known for awhile suddenly seemsmuch cuter. I always knew she was...

i still have all my stickers they sent me for free, i want to put them up all around campus, but like you said, damn it's cold.
that recently happened with a friend of mine. he seemed much cuter after he confessed his crush on me. i guess i hadn't really thought about him "that way" before b/c i didnt think i'd be his type AT ALL. but ya never know..
cute girls intimidate me too! im really shy sometimes, it sucks.

Yeeee-haw! I actually went to class this morning. The moment I walked in one the students mentioned that the teacher had asked about me on Tuesday and wondered why I wasn't showing up. So, he came in today and asked me where I had been and I told him the truth, "I've been having some trouble getting out of bed." He didn't seem to take...

I have seen Black Belt Jones, a while back. If memory serves, it's actually a decent action flick, as opposed to most blaxploitation, which is just bad. I should watch it again soon.
I remember the Hunger Artist being a good story. I first read Metamorphosis in a really bad translation, so I've never fully appreciated it.
Have you ever seen the movie "Kafka" with Jeremy Irons? It used to be one of my favorites, until I watched it a few too many times.
tunnelslats:
Oh yeah, about dates: usually I end up dating people I already kind of know, so we have a chance to screen each other a little bit. Being in a new city, that's not an option, so I'm surprised I've been having somewhat good luck!
I have been in that situation when I've been out with friends, and people end up getting split up into groups. Not fun!

I have coffee, cigarettes, opera and Kafka....what could be better?

Wait, I know, if instead of Kafka I had a writer that I still liked. The more I have to cover Kafka in class, the more I hate him. The Metamorphosis, for example, I used to love. Then I had to "analyze" it in a few classes and I hate it now. Thankfully, I have...

i could think of many things better, but that's just me. i've never read kafka, and my philosophy teacher mentioned spinoza the other day, although i'm not sure who he is, what he stood for, etc. i read candide back in the day. did you read cyranno de bergerac? i enjoyed it. i have to go read my metaphysics assignment now, i think the guy's name is mctaggart. it's prolly more on time and shit...ugh, what an awkward concept.
ilovemikehunt:
sociology is fucking awful...i mean, i sit and argue with the kids in class all period long. (oh yeh, i'm a freshman, and this will be my last sociology class) the kids are so stupid, and they say such stupid shit. and i already understand the nature of the class, so i don't feel that i really need to go further into it...i mean, the terms and sociologists is where i fuck up. i haven't opened my book once, oh wait, yes i did, but then i closed it. so i got a 17/30 on the test i took the other day, but i dominate the discussion in class daily. i guess i'm pretty militant when it comes to those other kids, but i feel that i need to be, i can't let them say these things out of ignorance and let them think it's ok...my teacher smirks everytime i raise my hand. either she's preparing to laugh at me, or or she's getting excited to hear how i'm going to go about throwing these idiots' comments in the trash, where they belong. maybe i'm making her job easier, or maybe i'm being cocky, but i think i'm on point.
anyway, tell me a bit about spinoza, if you will. i'm interested.

Why is it such a struggle to fall asleep......why is it more of a struggle to get up?

I haven't been to my one class in about a week and a half because I just can't seem to pull my lazy ass out of bed that early.
tunnelslats:
So...how's your grade in that class?
The movie is pretty old, and I don't think it's on DVD yet, but it shouldn't be too hard to find on video. It did actually play here a week or two ago as a midnight movie, but I missed it.

I know many of the people on here don't care for football.....but damn did the Super Bowl rock! Tampa's Defense is so fun to watch. It amazes me that their D scored more than Oakland's number one rated offense.

On another note, I am going to try and get some financial aid for spring and summer semester. I can still do what I need to...

5,000 Fingers.... is a film based on a Dr. Seuss screenplay. Some of the sets and stuff are pretty wacky. It's a bit slow in some parts, but well worth checking out.
We didn't actually make it into a bet, it's going to be difficult enough as it is. But if it were a bet, you know who I'd put my money on...

Not much to say in the way of an update. Life's been boring. I went over to my brother's last night for dinner and to celebrate my nephew's birthday. I got him two non-fiction Dr. Suess books. I didn't even know they made those, but they are cool. And really, how can ya go wrong when it's Dr. Suess?

School's going fairly well so far,...

Agreed. I thought the ending of the new one was really stupid at first, but looking back, they had to do it. I mean, look what they had to live up to.
What's this about non-fiction Dr. Seuss? I had no idea. I just missed the 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T at a local theatre; have you seen it?

Hey glad I could help you out with the adware thing smile
