F. Scott Fitzgerald had it right when he said “you take a drink, the drink takes a drink, then the drink takes you.” Shenanigans were aplenty yesterday, and the tequila was freely flowing, and I am definitely paying for the excess today. I think the biggest problem with being hungover is the total lack of drive to get anything done. I have a number of things I need to get done and have zero desire to do them.
I just want my head to feel normal again. I want my regular energy levels to return.
What a waste. I had a great time with great people, but I’m falling way behind in my work for the week because I’m having such a hard time putting myself together. At least this doesn’t happen often. Most nights, I may enjoy a glass of whiskey, or tequila, or a beer. Even going out, I’ll generally only have one or two drinks. I only had two or three drinks yesterday. But the shots … so many fucking shots. It’s time to start saying no to shots.
I’ll just be over here drinking water, awaiting the return of my mojo.
