I just saw Eraserhead an hour ago and yeah , although I'm a huge Lynch fan, it was my first time seeing this movie. I did notice a technique that Lynch uses often is opening or closing a scene with a sound, fade out with sound or fade into a scene with sounds. I liken this to Wild At Heart with the striking matches often closing or opening scenes.
I enjoyed the movie, probably need to view it more times, but the real exciting thing I learned from the whole thing was that the song the Pixies are often or always playing on their recent reunion tours - seen 'um twice this year- In Heaven is the same song in the film.
I love the Pixies and I love David Lynch, it's like Peanut Butter Cups, two great tastes together.
Good Night All

That's right! I remember seeing you last at Homewrecker's party. That was a slow night. I don't think i'd own Gozu, but it was rad. Have you seen 2LDK yet...i've forgotten the director, but wow. So worth it. I'm getting more interested in Japanese cinema, thay just seem to have a more creative writing and filing staff nowadays. Or maybe cause i haven't seen most of it.
