Today I took my ex girl's little daughter to the Disney store so she could pick out a thing or two for her birthday (a little fluffy white cat from Aristocats and a small Stitch doll from Lilo and Stitch) and also I was hoping to find a larger version of the doll Lilo has the movie. I have never seen the movie, but I have seen the doll and it is an adorable ragged looking thing.
I walked passed my store and cringed. I used to be a manager of Hot Topic, for just under two years. I made thirty five thousand a year on salary with a great discount, decent insurance, and you can't beat the hook up status. I quit based on my morals and the respect I had for the other manager. He was fired for something beyond his control and something horribly distorted by big fat company heads who never left their California offices. My entire store quit on principal. I am still unemployed and freeze every time I pass that store.
I stopped by Half Price Books on the way home and on Chloe's (yes, the SG) recommendation picked up some Charles Bukowski of my own. I chose to go with Tales of An Ordinary Madness.
I remembered a lovely scarf I fell in love with many years back, nearly five. It now accompanies me nearly as much as my arms. It is like a semi-permanent comfort.
One of my rings fell out of my ears and the ring is thick and the ball such a pin, I am now wearing a ring and two large barbells in my ear until I can get a hold of one of my ex's who is a piercer.
I am going to shave now and then watch Return Of The Living Dead in all it's classic glory.
