Seven new comics read, but they are probably old news to most regular comic readers, and well, there isn't much I can do about that, as I get my comics at the beginning of the following months of release, all my books in one big package. Right now I will just add two. I am considering just doing one comic issue and one trade or graphic novel each day or every other day.
Comics read:
B.P.R.D.: Garden of Souls #1
Criminal Macabre: Two Red Eyes #3-4
Invincible #39
Local #8
Pirates of Coney Island #5

Pirates of Coney Island #5 (Image)
W - Rick Spears, A - Vasilis Lolos, Cvr - Lolos

This issue starts out with us finally being introduced to the owner and operator of Cadillacula, and he is not your average driver. Then we move on to the Pirates and they are discussing the fight they just had with the Cherries (see issue #4 for one of my favorite fight scenarios in comics), and decide to go on the offensive and seek out their revenge. Those two beginning events set the stage for the rest of the issue (and another good fight scene) and also possibly the rest of the series. Make sure you check this book out.

B.P.R.D. : Garden of Souls #1 (Dark Horse)
W - Mike Mignola & John Arcudi, A - Guy Davis, Cvr - Mignola

This issue begins with a scene from the mid ninteenth century, where a party is under way for an orginization that is not yet revealed to us and seems to have an interest in the things of the occult and other oddities. They make sure to tell us the full name of the gentleman Langdon Everet Caul. When we first come upon the members of the Bureau, they are dealing with the aftermath of their last mission (and our last story line The Universal Machine), and are finding ways of yet again moving on after tragedy. The issue ends with Abe receiving a mysterious package, that contains both a monogram and and a clue. All B.P.R.D. series are worth checking out, but in this series they will expand further on Abe's background and that alone is worth the cost of the series.
