Well, after some confusion of time and who was where, the six of us (Mike, Stephanie, Jacob, Morgan, Laura, and me) ended up at the movie theatre.
Due to lines and idiot people, we finally get into the theatre that was playing Jason vs Freddy just as the title screen was coming up (meaning we missed five to eight minutes). The place was full and we had to split up into groups of three to be seated.
Alright now, onto the movie. I have always been a Freddy fan more than a Jason fan. Freddy was a child molesting serial killer and Jason was a slow eleven year old mama's boy. In this new movie though, they made Jason badass tenfold (even though it wasn't the great Kane Hodder under the mask). It made some valid points between the two I suppose.
The first half of the movie is worth the admission, easy. The second half of the movie, although having some neat shots and events, was a total let down. It might have only been a let down because of my having grown up with both of these characters and all their movies. Three of the six of us agreed to the wonderfulness of the first half and the failing of the second. All three that agreed are horror movie buffs and grew up on this shit. The three "outsider" views deemed it as a great movie in it's whole form.
Either way, check it out, it is worth the money.
