Its the end of the world as we know it
That is, I finally left the job Ive been doing for the last year, the job that was my life with the people who were my people. It wasnt amazing, it was more a bullying lover who twists your emotions between regret, anger, hatred through to love and forgiveness and reconciliation. So in some ways I feel like I am losing an important part of me but really it is an important part of my life and now I am onto another, I can spend time with all the amazing people I neglected as a consequence of my unfriendly hours. I look forward to it. I already begun by writing a long email to one of my friends who I especially love and whom I have especially neglected, telling her what I feel, and it made her cry. Her reply made me cry in the best way possible.
Went out clubbing with Laura and Dom last night. Indie magic all round and with a little alcohol to add some spice Dom tried to pull Laura. Well I say tried; he took her into a corner and forced himself on her! What a pity that he is one of the most repugnant men who was present. Present on Earth, I mean. Laura is fairly intolerant of the concept of sex at the best of times, needless to say she was absolutely traumatised at the thought of a bloke she hardly knows who she declares has a face that looks like it was rammed into the front of a truck attempting to have his way with her
We left in a hurry to avoid confrontation with Dom but failed, he tried to kiss her goodbye but she pulled away since wed been eating peanuts which will probably by now have blocked his breathing. We just kept running and this diverted us to Waterloo station where we discovered a crowd of happy campers waiting for the station to open. After calling Steve in the hope of him knowing of an all-night pizza takeout and finding that he sleeps a lot better than me at night, we decided to make a move to find food. We got a night bus to Hounslow and arrived at 05:30. We sat at the bus stop there for about 5 years watching a city sprawl develop and grow, and we became friends with the residents and local wildlife, in particular a pigeon called Kitten. People would come out and take pity on us in the evenings, and offer us bits of food and water. The bus to Ashford came an hour later and we made it to bed by 7:30.
Woke up at 15:30. Laura cooked us a fry-up an hour later then we got back in bed and did hand-puppet dances to Justin Timberlakes latest fine creation Justified. The hands were excellent at miming and accomplished body-poppers. At 21:00 I felt the need to make my way home for net access and a change of clothes, and obliged this urge. Walking home from Hampton Court I saw a shadow walk past me, and I smelt 4 types of leaves in the dark with the taste of salt and vinegar crisps in my mouth, I never thought the senses could work so independently. It was quite inspirational, I feel a newfound respect for my body.
I have had such an awesome weekend, I forgot how important good friends are. It was amazing to spend all day lying in bed with someone not having sex.
Check out My Pics for some pictures of London at Night as perceived by me when drunk!
Check out Dreaming of You by the Coral, it is my current favourite track!
