alright. since there are only ten more days until Halloween, i will now attempt to give you a list of my top ten favorite horror films. this list changes quite frequently, and it's difficult to narrow it down to ten... but here is number ten:
and here's an interesting fact... the mask worn by michael meyers in the original Halloween was a william shatner mask.
and my number 9 favorite is:
i'm not a big fan of HP Lovecraft, and i don't care for the sequels to this, but Re-Animator is one of the funniest and most entertaining horror movies ever. and Stuart Gordon is a great director. you may remember his film Dolls.
and number 8:
maybe it's not really a "horror" movie in the true sense of the word, but it's about the closest thing to an actual nightmare that i have ever seen on film.
number 7:
from the master of suspense...
you could argue that this one's not horror either, but i'm including it. it's from probably my favorite director of all time and along with the birds they are the only films of his that could be classified as horror as well as suspense. i think psycho paved the way for the modern slasher film.
as for number 6, i'm going to say both:
and
part two is basically a remake of part one, and their both just so amazing!
