this is a poem i wrote many years ago, but i thought it held up kinda nice and wanted to see what you people thought of my writing abilities, be as harsh as you want. i haven't written much lately.
the last poem
this is the last poem that i will ever write about her
my pen has run right out of blood
she still makes me feel like something
and someone but still not much of anything
i am just so tired!
these god damned black and blue blues are beating me to death again
but i can't pull the shades
to change my mind
and then get naked in the street
to change it back again
i am so far out of my head that
i am right back in it
and the glorious sun of redondo beach
has sunk into the sea
the steam fills the horizon...
turns it all kinds of ungodly colors
for this is just a boy in pursuit of
a bird of paradise
searching through a down in the mouth black winter
it takes an ocean to put out the sun
but only one woman can overwhelm and
quench my burnt up, withered heart
so all i can do is crumble, give way...
totter, dotter, tremble and fade
my body is damp and my soul is a voiceless woe
my face has turned the color of milk and water
sprinkled with drops of blue rain
she was so unbelievably beautiful
that i can no longer remember what she looks like
this is the last poem i will ever write about her

I have a new story for you in my journal. I am starting to feel like writing again..
Love always, your friend,
RoseMarie
I think it will be a night in watching movies for me tonight. But perhaps I will give you a call later to entertain me.
