a week over already? Yikes. Holiday party tomorrow, cocktail party with the neighbors tonight. They are a gay couple. The boy and I call them our Dads. We didn't start this until a few days ago. We were sitting there talking about them and the boy says he ran into Steve. I know him as Steven so it kind of threw me off a bit. I asked who Steve was, and he said, our neighbor Steve. Then he asks, what's his partners name again? And I respond Vincent like my Dad's name. And then it took a second to click, but the boy's Dad's name is Steve. Vincent and Steve, our dads. Ok, maybe only us two thought it was funny. Anyhow, I leave on Monday morning to NY. Then off to Spain. Yay! Getting my passport has proved somewhat frustrating to say the least. It's my fault, but over $200 later, I think I've taken care of it. Let's just hope it comes in time. 
What should I pack? what's the weather like in NY right now? Cold I'm sure, but how cold? What about Barcelona? Has anyone been there? Where should I go, what should I do?

Last time I flew some place that cold, someone stole my jacket at the airport. Not the luggage, not my cam-corder sitting right next to my jacket...my jacket. I turn my back for one minute, and someone steals it.
