Birmingham, Alabama.
Wow.
I have a great deal I want to say on a great many subjects. This has been a very long, strange three days since last I had internet access. Shows have been going great, attendance is awesome, and I even got a kick-ass review at aintitcool.com.
The girls continue to crack me the fuck up. Here are a few new pics:
I wish to Hell that the animated version of this was small enough to post, but you'll get the idea:
Texas was a fucking blast.Fanny thinks we Americans are odd,but I think she's fitting in pretty damn well:
So, last night we played Houston. In spite of the fact that the turnout as kinda small, everyone was in pretty good spirits. I mean, the city is basically under siege and full of refugees. Which was nice for me,since I got to have dinner with a friend from New Orleans (at a La Madeleine's-how perfect!). We knew that there were no hotels available in Houston,so after the show we left to drive an hour or so out of town to find lodging. There was none. Around three am we took an exit to check on a hotel, and there was a Jack in the Box where the sign had fallen and crushed a truck beneath it. That was the first sign of the hurricanes. So fucking eerie. Up until that there was nothing. Then for hours we drove through the wreckage. It's the details they miss in the horror movies. Miles where the bill boards were stil llit, but the signs had blown off. Churches with the steeples lying like toothpicks on the lawn. Roofs ripped off. Noone on the roads but us and semis carrying building material. All the gas stations closed. Every rest area slammed with trucks unable to find lodging. Exits to whole towns simply closed. I couldn't close my eyes on it. We turned north once we gave up on lodging finally and just pushed through to Birmingham. Dawn over forests where every tree was snapped in half. A blast zone. Sobering. The TV gives you no idea.
And now I have internet fnally, and my set is up and allready half down thanks to the Puritans in the current administration who were too busy fucking around with how I choose to express my sexuality to go fucking help out in Louisiana.I-10 is still a fucking mess. I can't imagine what the smaller roads are ike. I know that those in power are always at a certain level disconnected from society, but this is madness. Priorities are fucked up.
Maybe the neocons are righter than they know. The end is fucking on us.

I'm doing a childrens theater show with him.
I was telling him about the show in Charlotte and he said he knew you.
Anyway, Hi, and good luck with the rest of the tour.
