so much progress went down this weekend.

so much. on everyone's part.

I typed this two page letter to my parents that was basically about they fit into my struggle with regaining independence. my mom and my beau sat down and had a good talk about their dysfunction, and while they were talking my mom was already more respectful of me.

so it was hugely cathartic.

I have my echo here in a bit. I've already got a good night's sleep!

my echo was good. they did a bubble test. I wasn't expecting them to, which is kind of annoying, because it involves putting air into my blood stream to make sure my heart itsn't leaking. it's completely safe; this is the fourth time I've had the test. it's just that I thought I was only going in for an echo and that's all.

BUT MY HEART IS SOOOOO GOOD!

moving on. I had to wait a while to talk to my doctor after the echo, and the room I saw him in had no fun drawers to explore. it's a good thing I had my knitting. I love exploring drawers, which absolutely horrified my father when he started going to appointments with me.

I loved to write down names and model numbers of medical items I couldn't figure out the uses for, and then I would look them up later. when I wasn't able to write, I started making phone posts on livejournal. (I don't keep up with livejournal very well anymore, but I also don't spend four hours a day on my personal computer anymore, either.)

I made this post (click here if you are a whiney woss) as a follow-up after discovering a whole new drawer full of exciting items during an over-night EEG. we actually ended up using everything in the drawer that I describe, except the seal to the humidifier, which I correctly identified. we never used the humidifier, unfortunately.

so things are really looking up. I can start this week really feeling good. thanks to everyone who sent me good energy. it helped.
