I left my heart in SF.
As promised, the highlights of my trip to SF:
* Murphy strikes again. The airlines loses my luggage somewhere between San Diego and San Francisco. I'm pissed, but prepared. I have a change of clothes in my carry-on. I yell, and my bags are delivererd to the loft the next day.
* Met Robert for the first time. I...

Heh, I always pegged you as the Marlo Thomas type. Actually, no I didn't.
They make some really good cookies in SF. If there's one thing San Franciscans are good at (besides giving people the gay), it's making cookies. The Zoo rules. If you liked the one in SF, you should go to the San Diego zoo next time you drop by. Sorry I didn't get to see you, truth is I'm not in SF much anymore. It's because of family issues, long story. I demand touristy SF pictures. Preferably with you either drunk, or half naked.

SF was fucking great. I can't wait to go back. It was great to see old friends and make new ones. I'll post lots of details and pics, just gimme a few days to decompress.
Because its a new year with a new frame of mind, I've chosen a new username. For one, "artgrrl" was never meant to...

haha, no I exist, i promise. fuckin' IRS knows as much, to my dismay. sorry to dissapoint as far as getting together, they switched my work hours around. haven't had any down time to hang out or anything. hope you enjoy our fine gay city, with all it's gayness. even if you do think i'm a punk ass.
Blah... should be sleeping, but so not tired. Kinda stressed out, a lot on my mind. Trying to scrape enough money together for this damn trip. I shouldn't say "damn" trip, I'm really looking forward to it, but like everything else in my life, everything has to happen at once. Had a tire blow on the freeway tonight, and had a pipe burst on Saturday....

Unfortunately not, you should jaunt on up to Portland...
Hope everyone had a nice holiday. Mine was nice and low key. Since then, been busy, busy, busy. So much to do before my trip. Please buy something from my shop and help support my SF trip. Hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year.

I'm sorry that I didn't respond to you sooner. Sometimes I just don't feel like talking about myself very much. My health probably has something to do with that, too.
My new year is off to a good start though. I was able to have the first five days of the year off. I spent my Christmas money on computer upgrades--a new 22" flat panel monitor, a new APC uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and new Logitech speakers. I'm trying to turn all of my computer equipment into the (new) black and silver. It seems that computer white (or gray) has become outmoded. I'm into the new colors, now.
My New Year's Resolution of finding a girlfriend is shaping up pretty well. I've had a date with this woman twice now--and she's asking for more. I'm really excited about it, but I shouldn't get my hopes up too high only to have them deflated later. At least she lives in Ann Arbor, so there isn't a long drive involved. She has two kids though and not a lot of time on her hands, so she has to work me in when she can find someone to watch her two daughters. Hopefully, I will get to know her well enough so that I'll be able to spend time with all three of them eventually.
I attended an SG event in downtown Detroit last night. It was bar night with $2 PBR. Tons of pictures were taken. SG Annisa was tending bar. I got home really late because I got lost in downtown Detroit, which is not recommended let me tell you. Luckily, I was in the business district so it was pretty safe.
Work has been pretty busy lately. Plenty of sports officiating to do. The $125-$150 Saturday tournaments are nice to work since the Ann Arbor Recreation Department is cutting back due to budget constraints.
Have fun visiting San Francisco. My sister visited there once. I definitely would like to go there sometime. I'm sure that it has a really progressive atmosphere. I only wish that it were warmer there. Hopefully, the weather will be good for you.
Take care.

yup still doing the zombie pics! Write any questions to dropdeadgorgeousart@yahoo.com. thanks!!!
Well, it looks like the universe has decided to be good to me, at least for a while. The party was a blast. At least from what I remember.
It felt really damn good to be a social being again. Of course, I made entirely too much food, but it will save me from cooking for a couple days. And timberwolf brought homemade fudge. Mmmm......

!!Happy Holidays!!

Quick update on a cigarette break, then I shall get back to work:
- Feeling pretty normal again. Of course, normal is relative. But still a good thing.
- Christmas shopping done, packages mailed, gifts wrapped and under the tree.
- Painted the kitchen (green).
- Gearing up for the party. After a stress-induced, mini breakdown yesterday, got a lot done, and now just have...

Around when? I want to make sure i'm in town at the time.
Well, I'm slowly making my way back to the real world. It's certainly a process. They took out my pick line this week, two days early, because I was having such a violent reaction to the new IV medication. Now I just have three square meals of oral Rx a day. Fun, fun. I'm slowly regaining my strength, but I still need a nap daily....

I saw your post in the swap meet group, and I was wondering, do you do any custom designs? I LOVE this one http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=5049158 but that color looks hideous on me. Would you be able to do one in a deep purple or deep blue for the brim with the white cap part?

squeeeeeeeeeeee thank you! I can't wait to see it!
What I am thankful for this Thanksgiving:
I am thankful to be alive. Today, I was released from a week stay in the hospital as a result of another massive infection. I've have never experienced such pain in my entire life. Morphine barely took the edge off, and added to my misery by making me violently ill. Because I was insistent on being home for...

Hospitals are never fun, are they?
I'm glad that you were able to come home for the holidays, though. That is always a plus.
At least you have a partner to confide in. Talking to my parents gets old quickly.
Get well soon and don't be a stranger.
