Busy. Busy. Busy.
After almost 10 hours of tweaking, uninstalling, reinstalling, new installing, more tweaking, rebooting and kicking the computer more than once, I think I have everything going again. The only thing I forgot to do was save all my bookmarks, which pisses me off just a little. On the up side, because my 'puter is now working properly, I finally burnt my set to disc, which is now ready to be sent. 'Bout fucking time.
Sevi is over his illness, but of course, because my immune system sucks the ass, I now feel like luke warm dog crap. Which is not usually the best way to feel when you've got a bazillion things to do. But I'm trucking along the best I can... it's just taking me twice as long.
Last night, I was watching this show about auction houses on PBS (the poor man's Discovery Channel). On the show, they featured a 18'' serving plate from the Huang Ch'ao Dynasty that sold at Christie's for upwards of $5.5 million. It's a fucking plate. Five million dollars. Now, sure... if I was uber rich, I would probably collect stuff... art probably. I'm also partial to antique apothecary jars... but a five million dollar plate? I'm just in shock. Some people really do have too much money. And I'd be more than happy to take some of it off their hands...
I'm slowly perfecting the art of making vegetarian meatloaf. Mmmmm...

I got my sewing machine yesterday!
Don't laugh... I did my research and for the money, this was the best reviewed machine I could find. I'm so excited. Weee for new toys! I also got my ipod back yesterday... that was super fast! Weee for class action suits!
Ok, I need to either get back to work or go lay down...

These were people that I could either not remember the last time I talked to them, don't remember ever talking to them period, or had gone to grey. My sewing machine has been sitting on my kitchen table collecting dust since the start of this horrid semester. If it was as cute as yours, however, I would have probably fired it up by now.
What do you use in your veggie meatloaf? I have this recipe for sunflower lentil pie, and it is so good.
