FUCK YES!!!!!!!!! It's official - I received my formal offer today and am starting on Monday! I signed the lease on my new apartment, I move in the end of the month, and I start being gainfully employed as of Monday....I am so freakin' excited! I'm a bit nervous as it is a new job and there is alot to learn - but I now have a title and all that good stuff and my own "staff"....God - I think I am joining the adult world but I'm not too sure they are ready for me....
Sometimes, life is pretty cool. I mean - things really seem to be falling in place! I want to write all kinds of silliness and goofiness because I am all happy and girly about this....But - I don't know where to start...I've worked my ass off for this and that is what seems to be amazing me that it is paying off! It's kind of funny but the college where I've worked for the past few years wouldn't "promote" me or give me more money because I don't have a degree. But - I'm going to work for one of the top unis in the country and they don't care that I don't have a degree - they care that I'm good at what I do (which is kind of bizarre - academic department management and grants oversight...)...So - I may not be online much over the next few weeks - the laptop has to go back to my old college and I am probably going to be dropping my internet until I move...But - I'm here through the weekend and I'm just feeling goofy and happy and way wicked proud of myself!!!! Yay me!!!!!
