Nate is leaving for Denver tomorrow or saturday. Even though he says he'll be back to visit, i know it won't be the same. there's always that sense of awayness when someone comes back from moving away. sort of a superiority thing, i've felt it when i go home. it's not intentional, but it's there. i don't know how i'll handle it when it's aimed at me. i though i was doing fine with it, until i heard these lyrics:
this may be the last time i see you
forgive me for holding you close
this may be the last time i see you
so of this moment i will make the most
this may be the last time i see you
but if you keep me in your heart
together we shall be eternal
if you believe we shall never part
the stones from my enemies
these wounds will mend
but i can not survive the roses from my friends.
yeah, shut up. i'm a sap.
so i'm having problems dealing with this. it's weird that i've barely known him a year and we are this close. i've known people for way longer, and never batted an eye when i knew i'd never see them again. i guess some people just make a footprint, so to speak.
how do you say goodbye?
i don't know how i'll do it. probably dissolve into tears.
comfort me.

Well, I originally came here to compliment your lovely pic from the dirty talk thread, but instead I'll just say that leavetakings are hard. Knowing someone for a short period of time can make it much more intense and powerful and experience than it would be normally. Just know that he made you happy, and cherish the things he did that made you smile. You'll always have those memories.

Now that does certainly sound like it'd be painful. Advice, I think, would be useless. I can only offer sympathy.
