I've got a cold, Very stuffed up and snuffy,
On top of that, I've been feeling a bit down recently. Maybe it's the advent of autumn, I don't know, but my confidence seems to have taken a dive.
All the things I dislike about my job have re-surfaced and even my acting and singing, usually a great escape from the downsides of everyday life, have proved hard work. I've kind of lost confidence in myself. In the summer I was in a play and never really got it right - I'm my own worst critic, and have been very hard on myself for forgetting lines etc. And now I'm in a musical where my main song is a tad low for my voice and I'm hating the fact that I can't do it justice.
Maybe I'm just a perfectionist, but I'm also starting to feel old and worrying that my best days are behind me ...
