I spent all day on the shop floor today, serving customers. shelving books, finding things for people. I managed to get to lunch without crying and then I went slushy because I had gin and tonics for dinner and we started talking about the old days.
I've just shut the shop up for the last time ever, this time tomorrow I'll be a book buyer not a bookseller.
