Boy am I glad to be back to work! It sure is nice to have a steady stream of income. Although I am not able to save as much as I would like to (I am paying off bills like whoa) I am at least living comfortably. And I am thankful for that!
Dragon*con is only 65 days away! I am looking to make some sweet new costume for it if we are definitely going down for it. Last year was a blast, and I sure hope I can make it. If we get tickets now, looks like room and flight will only be 400$. So then I just need to save up extra $$ for alcohol and food. But mostly alcohol.
Weather has been shit here in New England, but Kiley and I have found some cool fun things to do. When it was mildly hot Sunday we got some vegan ice cream and some watermelon (which we promptly soaked in vodka...YUMMMM!!!) I want to go swimming bad, but with my wicked irrational fear of thunderstorms and the fact that it will be storming for the next few days I do not see that in my future until the holiday weekend...
Speaking of the 4th...! I will be with my fellow 501st and Rebel Legion buddies marching in the Bristol RI 4th parade, then staying there all weekend for a nice kyaking/beach adventure.
So life is ok, it has its ups and downs, but all in all I am enjoying the ride thanks to some spectacular friends!
