Well I applied for a supervisor position at the job I recently left to be a stay at home Mom. We decided it's for the best since we still haven't gotten Subby's unemployment or severance package. We just can't chance having no income. The only thing I'm struggling with is that Ollie will have to go in daycare once Subby finds a job. I just... Read More
My wife and I finally had to bite the bullet and take our little one to daycare. My sister-in-law had been watching her, but she now has a newborn of her own. We ended up choosing a church affiliated center that was close to my mother-in-laws house. We had a good experience previously with my nieces, and they seem to do a pretty good job. I think it is always tougher on the moms, since they form such a tight bond with their children. My wife made me take her to daycare the first day, and little Miss V. did fine. We get a daily report of eating, naps and other important events. They even texted us with pictures of her first couple of days. Check with other parents, or get references, and check out the place before you commit. And if you don't like one place, pull the diaper bag and head someplace else, there are usually a number of good places in a small city. Good luck, and trust your gut.
Well I havent been able to crochet as much as I'd like thanks to a teething baby. But I did manage to crochet a Batman doll. I like how it turned out and will be creating a Joker next. After that I'll either be moving onto Zombies or Yo Gabba Gabba dolls. Subby is working on an Etsy too, but I'll let him tell you... Read More
Well Subby got laid off. Which does not mesh well with me being a stay at home Mom. I feel so damn bad for my man, he's a hard worker and very loyal, but that's not worth two shits in today's economy. Now we're trying to figure out what to do from here....do we wanna stay down here? do we wanna give WI a try?... Read More
Wow, that sucks! Let me know if we can do something to help. Be sure to consider Columbia in the job searching, too - CoMo is a great town, and very affordable. Besides, then you'd be close enough to take lots of pictures!!!
You and your family have my best wishes. We went through the same event last year. On the bright side, the replacement job was much better than the one lost.
Been super busy. Had some shit go down with our sitter. Now I'm a stay at home Mom. Had something terrible happen this past week. Now we're getting back to normal life. I'm working on creating a whole new Etsy shop. I will need to start raising money for some serious medical bills that will be headed our way. Stay tuned, I'll be selling lots... Read More
Well who's fault is that that someone doesn't ever go into chat or text me or anything like that? `Cause I'm kindo thinkin' it's yours! I actually would text you but I never know if Olivia's sleeping or if you're sleeping and I remember what it was like when Danger girl was young and it was SOOO hard for me to get to sleep and then someone would text me with something like "Hey! Thinking of you!" or something just as pointless. I'd wake up juuuust as I'd start to fall asleep with the phone buzzing, shaking, and making all types of annoying sounds and get up thinking "this had god damn better be fuckin' good" then read it like "Are you fucking kidding me?!" I mean, obviously I wouldn't mention anything to them, they were just sayin' hi and being nice n stuff and used the least intrusive way they could to get ahold of me.
You don't have to worry about that with me anymore though. You can text me whenever. If you do, let me know elsewhere if I don't reply `cause I don't know for sure if you have my current number (I'm pretty sure you do though.)
My 6 weeks of maternity leave is up. I have to go back to work today and I'm extremely upset about it. I wish I could just find a fucking way to pay off my car so I can be at home with my baby where I belong.
Saying a sincere prayer for your whole family.
