The guy who crashed into my trucker Dean and killed him pleaded guilty. I'm glad he at least did that. I still miss Dean, ain't a soul can replace him. You guys would have loved him. Such sarcasm but he geniunely cared about people. And he was so fucking funny.
God I miss him.
But at least there may be justice for his death. A small consolation, the least that can be done.
I've lost a lot of loved ones this year. My Great Grandma passed away at the ripe old age of 100 in January. Dean was brought to an early end in March. And my Grandpa's years of suffering ended in August. I love all three of them very much and sometimes it hurts to know I will never get another hug, never see another smile, never hear the sweet distinct sound of each voice again. Mostly I just feel blessed to have had them touch my life.
Nothing good can last forever, if it did we'd never realize how good it was.

in Dean's case it sounds as if this justice will be the best closure.
and your grandma... it's always sad to lose people, but on the brightside: 100 years!!!! you can't say that about too many people!
sorry if this is overly optimistic/positive... but sometimes it's easy to lose sight of that side of things...
