Any fucking semblance of sorrow and worry is fucking gone now! I am so fucking angry I really really want to go fucking kill someone! I hate people, I hate them so fucking much!!!!!!!
I just got word on Gramma. She has pneumonia, an intestinal infection, and her diabetes has taken a turn for the worse. How could this happen when she was doing so well after her surgery? How does this happen when the doctors say "Shes still kickin strong, she will recover without a problem"? HOW IS MY GRAMMA LAYING UNCONCIOUS IN A FUCKING HOSPITAL BED RIGHT NOW IF ALL THIS WAS TRUE???!?!?!
Well let me tell you.
Nursing Home Abuse. I have the whole story now and I really want to kill every person that was supposed to be taking care of her there. Let me tell you a little bit of what went on at this nursing home. Feel my anger for a minute.
We bring her to this nursing home because after the emergency bypass she needed to much care for my Aunts to handle. I do not hold this against them, they have families, and jobs and that is a lot of delicate work to take on. My Grampa is much too weak to care for her so it seemed like the best option. My family checked the place out, everything looked peachy keen. My Mom even knew what warning signs to look for because she works a rehabilitation center/nursing home.
The first week or two went by without a problem. Gramma wasn't really improving much but she wasn't getting worse. It takes time to recover we thought, we must be patient.
This week was different. My Grampa went to go visit my Gramma on Monday and they wouldn't let him in. He was sad but didn't ask why or tell anyone. He just thought Gramma was being moody and wouldn't see him. Same thing happens on Tuesday. By Wednesday he gets pissed, demands to see Gramma and gets "escorted" out of the building! So he calls my Aunt D. Aunt D calls the nursing home, who tells her that my Gramma is misbehaving and cannot have guests right now.
Misbehaving? A 74 year old woman is, what, grounded?
So my Aunt D gets my Aunt B and they go down with Grampa to see what the fuck is going on. They are met by staff personnel and are treated sweet as can be. They are brought to my Grammas room who appears to be sleeping. (We later find out they hurriedly gave her enough pain pills to knock her ass out).
"See? Shes fine." They say.
My Aunts are still wary but have to work the next day. They all go home. Friday comes. They go to visit her again and are told she is in therapy but they can come back on Sunday to visit.
At this point I would have been way to suspicious and would have called the fucking cops. But then again my Aunts are nave and I have very distrusting of people.
Sunday comes and my Aunt B goes to see my gramma. There is no staff when she walks in. But there are tons of wheel chairs, regular chairs, tables, bookshelves, computers, and the like stacked up in the reception area. My Aunt knows something is wrong and makes a beeline to Grammas room. She is literally blocked by staff when she gets close and they wont let her through saying she "Just cant go there right now" So what does my Aunt do? Gets pissed and punches the dude in the nuts and slaps the bitch and bolts down the hallway.
She gets to my Grammas room and jumps back because it is flooded. A good 4 inches of water. And there is my Gramma screaming for help on a FUCKING ELECTRIC BED!!!!! She sees B and starts begging her for help cuz she has to go to the bathroom. Problem is, standing water with cords dangling in it is no fucking good. My poor Gramma has to humiliate herself and is just sobbing with shame.
I do not know how they ended up safely getting her out of there. We are lucky she is alive. Come to find out they were not giving her her insulin, they were only giving her 1/2 the heart mediciation she was supposed to be receiving, she has had such terrible diarrhea and they would NOT let her use a bathroom so she was covered in it!!!!!!

These people who are supposed to help the elderly almost killed her and I feel THEY deserve to be tortured like that and then die. Im so fucking angry and all I can do is sit here and write this and cry. I hope God fucking sends them straight to hell. I hope that is the hell they have to live in.
The doctors now are not sure if Gramma will pull through. She is in critical condition and is still very week from the bypass. Those motherfuckers will be sorryone day this will come back on them.

Nursing homes are not what I thought they were. They hire anyone off the street. I was under the impression they only hired nurses or properly trained nurses aids or medical assistants but my cousin, who was homeschooled from 5th grade on and had no other education, works in a nursing home for just over minimum wage. It's craziness....
I hope your Grandma gets well soon... *hug*
