took about 3:15 in the chair, we watched Snatch and most of Goodfellas...

Ahoy there!

I'm back! Well, i've been incredibly busy as of late,
I've had 12 simulator events, and 4 flights in the past
couple weeks, and so far I've finished my first
block of fam flights (familiarization flights). Getting
ready for the next phase. It's incredibly demanding
but at the same time it's incredibly fun!

If you haven't seen Episode III yet you need to...

Greetings and Well Met,

Yes I am still alive! Sorry I havent updated in a long time, but I've been extremely busy... I have completed my move to Corpus Christi, TX, and so far I must say, it's infinitely better than Pensacola, so that's good. Our townhouse is ridiculously nice, and it's about 30 seconds from the beach. We even have our own kegerator, so...

all academic tests are done, just the cool stuff left,

this week we do the altitude chamber, they take us up to like 20,000 ft and then we remove our oxygen masks and get hypoxic, then they film us doing all kinds of crazy shit without enough oxygen, and we all go laugh at it later

we also do bay-ops.. they dump us in Escambia...

I didn't get to do the altitude chamberfrown I have seen video of my friends doing it though - too funnybiggrin

I did ejection seat training today and got drug around in a fake parachute - that was pleasentwink

I hope that you have lots of fun - cause as an Army chick - I am scared of all this Air Force stuff. When is your first flight?? Mine is tomorrowfrown

whitewidow:
Hmmm - that sounds scary. I was overwhelmed with the amount of steps just to eject from the Tutor.....I hope that the Hawk and Harvard will be easier training. Maybe that is why I am a Medic - not meant to be up in the skies that often.

I hope you have lots of fun with your flights - I am sure you look better in a flight suit than I - I would rather be in my combatswink

Love the new pictures!! I am an Army medic on a Canadian NATO flight school base, so I get to see students fly each and every day. We only have Hawks, Harvards and Tutors on the base thoughfrown

im glad to hear your doing so good in school. you better start feeling better soon mr. last summer i cant even remember what i did. obviously nothing exciting. im gonna try to make this summer worth remembering though. love the new pics. and remember. commercial airline pilots arent as hot as navy pilots. except, they were once in the military. so im not sure how that works.

I have a cold... I never get sick, but some how I managed to get a god damned cold. I hate being sick, and having to do all kinds of swimming in full flight gear with helmet/boots/survival vests etc... is not fun while sick.

98 on the aerodynamics exam, aviation weather exam is tomorrow morning, so hopefully I'll do good on that one too

Today...

first week of classes has been very boring, and i don't feel like spending all my time back home studying aerodynamics, weather, and navigation...

me, on selflessness and altruism....

Selflessness and altruistic behavior are fallacies... They simply do not exist. Every action, no matter how seemingly altruistic, is motivated in some part by selfishness. This selfishness may be on the subsonscious level, but it is there nonetheless.
People would of course respond to this by trying to point out counterexamples... allow me...

Example 1, joining the peace corps and...
