IMPRESSION:
1) There is a large soft tissue mass on the left at the L3 level. This appears to be extra dural, and most likely represents a meningioma or schwannoma. This does not appear to be arising from the osseous structures, although there does appear to be some mechanical erosive change upon the adjacent pedicle and posterior elements. This mass completely fills the left neural foramen and results in significant right-sided displacement of the central canal with central spinal stenosis.
2) At L4-5, there is a moderate size broad-based left central disc protrusion resulting in posterior displacement of the left L5 nerve root origin.

In simple english, Johnny has a tumor on his spinal chord which at present is presumed to be benign. This will need to be removed via surgery. I also have a ruptured disc. This may or may not require resolution via surgery.

I'm still kind of stunned.
