I never did get to hit one of those yet. I wanted to go the year I joined but never made it. I heard they are fun though.

As for what I did at the faire, I was working with the knights as a squire and I stepped out of the horse trailer (on opening day) carrying a wallet (I was going to go pick up hay and feed for the horses) and fell. We all thought I had sprained my ankle but after I finished the weekend there I had it checked out when I got home and apparently I had broken it in at least 5 different places. I managed to do the entire weekend without an extremely noticeable limp (the lead knight wouldn't let me squire unless I could prove to him I could run, not walk, without limping) so I did.

I guess I can kind of understand now why everyone calls me masochistic.
