Fuck it.
The ex's are coming out of the woodwork this week. Had another one get in touch, this one from high school.
Seems everyone from my past is popping up this time of year...and they all say the same thing...
(it's fun to take a trip...put acid in your veins...)

What they say is to follow what my heart is telling me to do...

"You've hit rock bottom, fine, but look at it as the opportunity to do what you WANT to do with your life for once."

They're not all as articulate as that, but that's the gist.

So fuck it.

I'm going to get together a book proposal and start pitching it to small press publishers.
I'm going to get serious about getting a job "in the publishing industry" by hook or fucking crook.
And I'm going to get serious about getting up to NYC ...

Talked to a recruiter for my old restaurant and there's a possibility that I can head up that way, maybe as early as june or sooner...Doesn't do me any good for a job now, but it's something to consider, plan and look forward to perhaps...

Got my freelance site posted, along with resume and portfolio of published works.

Now i just got to teach myself some stronger web design and buy some stock photos or images and build a site ... did i mention teach myself flash and dreamweaver and CSS too...?

Meanwhile, back to the resume grind.
Hope everyone who celebrates it had a good holiday.
I guess the one good thing about being out of a job right now though is that it's the first black friday I've had off in about 7 years. it was nice to sit and do nothing for a change...
