My threshold for keeping up with writing in multiple blogs has been reached. I can't do it anymore, and so I have consolidated. I won't be leaving here, but rather linking my personal blog on wordpress.com. Generally, it will be a focused, topic-based blog. I'll still write here in a very candid way, but generally my posts will link to The0therDavidBrin Blog.

Take care...

Not really much going on.
Got my computer working the way I wanted after a few days of fiddling and finally using the right disk to install bootcamp/windows properly.

Just been doing a bit of soul searching and realizing what I want/need out of life, and how strange of a place I find myself in just of late. Sort of this strange middle ground on...

Yes, I do know where you stand & I'm happy you are standing there! wink

And no, you have not been a terrible virtual friend. You are awesome, you've been a terrific friend to me, and I adore you! biggrin

A bar full of drunks can be annoying, especially if you are sober. Lol

I'm glad you got to get out, take a break from ev'thing, and get some photos. I love the huge spider! That's so cool!
And, I've never had sushi, but I'd be willing to try certain ones, if I could go with someone who's not a sushi virgin! Haha!

I like it, keep up the work good man.... been a while scene I've seen a set-up like that

I love this job.

As a restaurant job it's so basic it's deceptive in thinking it's easy. But they've stripped away all the bullshit and let managers focus on the one thing that really matters: Putting out a quality product and ensuring an awesome guest experience....

But part of the training i was NOT expecting - i.e. i was so excited i got the job...

We had business last night my restaurant, it is exciting, I hope that I get some hours back, they cut me from 40hrs to 30hrs.... Not a good way to pay the bills

Hey Sweetie! I'm doing great. Hey...take sum pix in the new duds...put that new cam to work! biggrin Yeah, I spent some $$ at Victoria Secret, but I haven't spent money on good quality undergarments in a loooooong time & since I had no bras that fit anymore it was very necessary. For you, I guess you needed new duds to go with the new address! I know I would have, too! I think you should splurge & spoil yourself every now & then. wink

I'm sad you had to move away without getting to hang out much. I know we would have had a blast! I think you are a really great guy! I am glad though that your new job is working out for you. I hope you have much success in your career! smile

Oh, did you go or are you going to the NIN concert?

P.S. I got your text of the new number, too. At first I wasn't sure who it was, but then I kinda thought it was you. biggrin

Hard to believe that it hasn't been that long since making the transition to Northern VA. I look at the last blog and it feels like I posted it a year ago. Not even two weeks.

It's good to be here, on my own, under my own terms. It's good to be out from under preconceived expectations and a past full of setbacks. It's time...

Yeah, I guess it was the upward angle...I had to set my phone on my laptop.

Glad to see you're getting settled in. I'm sure it will take some time to adjust to the change. For me, when I first moved to Charlotte, I thought the adjustment was quite thrilling...new faces, new places, etc. There was just something about the newness of it all & so many things being unfamiliar. I needed the change at the time though, and not knowing what I'd be facing each new day was quite exciting for me. I hope this opportunity is just as exciting for you! biggrin
cyanyde:
Oh yeah, you start your first day today. I hope all goes well for ya! wink

holy crap...

so...I found a place to live. I am going up Tuesday to Alexandria, VA to sign for it, and then hanging out in the area a bit, for a couple days between there and Hampton, VA and getting things finalized with a moving truck and coordinating with Pops to get me moved... Then going Friday (when the money clears to the account that...

I know you have been a fan of my work in the past, so I figured I would let you know my new film is posted in my journal today. Come check it out before YT pulls it down.

Maybe being at that same point again though, you will chose a different path and hopefully it will be a great one. The kitten will tell you what to do smile

Sitting in a hotel room in Northern VA watching cable somehow makes me feel like I'm having a normal life...
let's hope the job actually comes through so the feeling can continue...

"...like paradise without the little umbrellas." Bahahahahahaha!

Ah, they are getting better every day. The pain has decreased a lot, although wearing a bra that doesn't fit anymore Sat. night wasn't too favourable. The pain isn't so bad for the most part, but at it's worst when I first wake up until I get some pain meds in me. I have found that a bathing suit top works pretty good for the moment until they can accurately measure my new bra size. (They are shifting still up to around 8-12 wks so buying new bras now would be ridiculous. Haha! Other than that, I'm just kickin it around the apt. taking it easy to help the healing process. They are shaping up very nicely a little bit every day though! wink

Hahaha..."Boddddy Massaaaaaaaaaage!" I could enjoy one of those for realz!

I dunno what ur doin going for an interview in VA...since you won't be leaving Chrlt!!! Lol!
biggrin

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

But since I know you are in desperate need of employment, I'll wish you luck anyway. tongue

Another year gone by, another set of issues to work through. Feeling as if I am not where I should be at 31, feeling as if maybe I took too many wrong turns and should just accept that I'm irrevocably lost in a world that I don't quite understand.

Feeling like I have the strength to keep on keeping on, but to what end? To...

Cool about Borland. I was NOT a Limp Bizkit fan but he was a good guitarist & seems like he'd fit right in with Manson.
I got into Manson when their first album came out, before "Sweet Dreams" hit. I saw them at this tiny-ass club in Charlotte in 95. There was a guy standing outside dressed like Willy Wonka handing out candy. It was an incredible experience. I've never had a problem with crazy people moshing at a Manson show, and I've seen them four or five times. But I guess it depends on the city. The craziest crowd I've seen here was at a Korn show. And Ozzy, way back in the day.

I think it's funny that the vet settles on 'it smells like the ocean in here,' when it's obvious they want to say 'your cat smells like a dirty pirate hooker.'

I've been struggling with weight management on my little demon for a couple of months now, and a few weeks back the vet suggested a low cal food by the makers of the food...
