So what's the news? hmmmm....
Well the week began fucking dreadfully- awoke at 11:30 sunday night to the sound of breaking glass and went downstairs to find people burgling my house. NOT good!!
The sound of me coming down the stairs in my pants with pool cue in hand was seemingly scary enough to frighten them off as they were legging it out of the back door by the time I got there, but at the time the whole thing was equal parts exciting and absolutely terrifying- the villains round here are potentially pretty nasty, so I guess a lot of broken glass but nothing actually taken is actually kind of a good result in the scheme of things given that my entire dvd collection and loads of electrical equipment were in the next room.... All I lost were 2 bags of wheat crunchies which they fucking stood on whilst they were climbing through the window. BASTARDS!
The police came round within about 2 minutes and were very nice, but absolutely no help- although they did offer to have the broken kitchen window boarded for me.....for a mere 250(!!!!) ... thanks lads!!!
Spent monday morning trying to find a glazer who would do it for something less than that and who could come and do it more or less straight away, eventually found one who came round and did it for 70 quid...not bad I thought.....
I then went and jumped in the car to go down to work....to find that it wouldn't start....
Spent the rest of the day trying to get it fixed for a reasonable price- and before I knew it the whole day had cost me 300 quid for absolutely nothing to show for it... Nightmare!!
...but on a brighter note...
The rest of the week has been very chilled out and a lot of fun. Work has been quiet and uneventful- which in rehab is a very good thing! Aside from a stack load of reports to write, it's been a real good week there... Got out early last night from my evening shift and went to *ahem* the student night at Rock City
It was about as lame as it's ever been but there was a little hardcore amongst all the emo played in the basement so I was content.
Going to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory tonight!!! ACE!(and I'm cooking mexican food as well....mmmm mmmmmmmm!!!!)
Going to see Felix Da Housecat play tomorrow night!! ACE!
(and I may be forced to take drugs too
)
Kind of wish I was going to Global Gathering this wekeend, if for no other reason than because DJ Format is playing, but I've decided that even with the offer of a space in someones car, it's too much money for one act....bit gutted though!
OK, reports to write, then weekend full steam ahead!

Damn that sucks-at least they didnt take anything...bastards better not have trodden on the spicy tomato wheat crunchies-Id have shoved the pool cue up their butts for that offence alone! Let us know how Charlie and Choc factory was-Ive heard everything from crap to amazing so far....
