20 more sleeps till the ring comes out... Had the most unreal urge to do it last nite here at home. She was just looking so damn cute and loveable, but then that would have wrecked an entire year of planning... I want to get this one right! The last time was in some gas station parking lot after fighting about the fact that she was fucking around... Again! (Still!?!). So it's real important I get this one right!

So here's a little history. Why? No reason other than I have an hour before I have to go to work, and I'm feeling a little chatty this morning. My ex-wife (circa mid-nineties) and I were somewhat of a bad match. After 3 years of hell and her screwing everything that moved (including me fortunately), we got married, which lasted all of about nine months till she found herself pregnant, and what with me out of town, it was somewhat hard to tell me it was mine (like she did the first time it happened when we first started dating, and she had an abortion, and it fucked me up and blah blah blah blah!) So that ended that.

Before Nereid was likely the evilist bitch I ever did get involved with who somewhat oddly enough found herself PREGNANT while I was again out of town working (note to self---- get a fuckin in-town job!)

But hey, it's all moot!

My best friend and I had a conversation recently about her bad luck in men. My reply is this... IT IS ALL WORTH IT WHEN IT FINALLY LEADS YOU TO THAT ONE PERSON!
I wouldn't trade my past for anything because it has just been a road to Nereid.

Wow.... some digression.... anyhooo.... So I realized yesterday just how nervous I really am.... You should have seen me in my darkroom at work (did I ever mention I'm a radiographer), looking at the ring (cuz that's where it is hidden, and I start trying to imagine how I'm going to do it... am I going to do it in some fabulous restaurant? Am I going to get down on one knee? etc. etc. etc. And my heart starts beating faster, and harder, and I start getting all jittery. How Pathetic! I love it!

I'm sure I had more to say, but I better get ready for work.

The shit gets better... I had to work at 5. I called the hospital at 8:45am to see what time they were sending her home. They told me it wouldn't be today. I asked them to let her know I called. Then I called her work to tell them she wouldn't be in today. She called at about 10. No idea that I had called. She was panicked about work... I told her I had already called them and she wondered how I knew to...nice ! THEN.... I stuck my head in at noon between jobs... she was sleeping so I dropped off a couple books and then went to the nurses station to see what was up and when the specialist would be in to see her... for fifteen minutes I stood there and was completely ignored... well not totally... I tried talking to one nurse, and she acknowledged me by informing me she wasn't really there... it was her day off!!

Good Old Albertan Health Care at it's finest... They can all go fuck their hats!

But hey... enough ranting... thanks for the thoughts all... just another reason this site rocks. The support is wonderful!
