Never one to pass up free tickets to a show, I caught Jon Spencer and the Blues Explosion last night. Fun show, but it would have been so much better had that crowd plunged headfirst into the whiskey river. The most dangerous person at the show was the dancing sasquatch. Well, him and the person that had their own personal shit explosion in the men's room.
After that I caught snuggle-hippie's b-day soire. Dogs were molested. Asses were smacked. Kegs were ridden.
I think I may have found a place where I can make noise. A stranger overheard me asking about renting a practice studio and offered to let me use her basement. I really like the idea of having a seperate creative space that I could go to and make as much noise as I want. It could turn out to be very good for me.
Some of my latest experiments with my Holga have turned out well. I had some luck with fake landscapes and a macro pic I took through a jeweler's lense. Not too impressive in the realm of photography, but progress has been made.
