Scene: A man in his mid fifties with a wilted pompadour walks up to the counter. I am knee deep in a stack of jobs and have been jacking with the color in an illustrator file to get it 'just right' for a very important customer.

Me: (glancing briefly in his direction) Hi, what can I do for you?

Skelvis: Well, are you going to help me?

Me: (glance back over) Of course, what do you need?

Skelvis: Well, it looks like you are still looking at the computer screen. Are you going to do that or come over here and help me?

the man was standing within five feet of me.

Me: (looks skelvis in the eyes) I'm listening, what do you need?

Skelvis: Because it doesn't seem like you want to help me.

Me: (still working in front of the computer) Actually I am able to multi-task, can I help you with something?

Skelvis: How much are stamps for postcards?

Me: twenty-three cents.

Skelvis: Oh, cause I had some twenty-three cent stamps and I wasn't sure if they would work.

Me: Yes, yes they will work.

Skelvis: Does that young girl still work here?
