I'll never be your beast of burden ...

Yeah, right. After 40 years on earth and 27 chasing the elusive female of our species, I've come to realize that is exactly what I am. Strange thing, codependency. I mean, shouldn't helping people with their problems be a good thing?

Unfortunately, I go deeper. While aesthetics are clearly the initial attraction, it is clear that it is issues that really get me going. Hey - I can help with that. In fact, I can try and insulate you from every little demon that passes through your head and soften the blow of every sad twist that life might take. Even if it means I quit living my own life and try to live yours.

I know you'd be pissed if I gave you this diagnosis. I like you, baby, but what I really love is your addictions. Let's get through them together. I'll help you. Daddy's got you covered.

I wish I had a half a decade or so to commit to the couch. Maybe I could figure this out. It's the issue of my life - wanting to be superman to someone. Even if my Lois Lane really can't give any of it back. When you are an enabler, give and take aren't really a requirement ...

You must be getting something out of it if you keep doing it.

Codependency and addictions go both ways. She has it, you probably have it to.

Heya...I saw your Big Muff question in the BP group. To make mine sound good I eventually cranked all knobs all the way up on it and then lowered them accordingly. Usually with pedals it's wiser to do it the other way around you know?biggrin I also have to use a pick with it and I usually am not a pick player. Dropping mids and boosting bass and a lil more treble than usual helped too. Hope that helps some! smile
