since this is the first time i am here, let me say a few things ablout myself

i teach 6th grade in crown heights brooklyn -- for those that do not know, this is inner city gheto area. and it is not as bad as anyone would think
yes, there are days that suck, but you gotta keep thinking of the kids... the kids man

but anyway, i am also a student myself -- i go to broken, errrr, i mean, brooklyn college.

in fact i used to go to school with someone who is part of this site, up there in new england.

but i have been a lurker for quite some time and felt that maybe i should join in the fun
let down the anonominity curtain and let my shaggy sideburns show

well lets see, i should leave you with an embarasing fact: i love the carpenters, sing them often, in my head or out loud, but never to the songs themselves -- no i know them all by heart
