nadir

so school started on thursday

i have a rockin new class, much further ahead than my class was last year at this time, whihc means that i will be able to teach more new stuff and not review as much

this is wonderful to me

it also means that i will have to work harder to keep up with these crazy brainiacs
but that is what i am here for.

my vacation was great went from montreal to philly and everywhere inbetween
saw countless films and drank far too much

in fact i am embarking on a crazyexperiment this year...
i am going to track how many beers i drink during a school year.
and since mine started tuesday -- remember the teachers are always at school far more often then the students i have 203 days to track
and well 4 days have past and i am up to 10 beers so far -- i am on tap for 510 for the year

actually quite scary when you think about it that way

but i must go prepare lessons for the week and read countless pages of a boring college book -- in december i will be done and be a master bacholor or some such thing

now a question:
what was your favorite book in the 4th - 6th grade years?

mine was a book called a lion to guard us
by some unknown guy
i saaw the book at a used book store a while back
and regret not picking it up

for my kids most love that dreaded pokemon -- comercial excess at the highest caliber. gotta catch them all, because we know that the one who dies with the most toys win... fucking brainwashing in the form a of cartoons.... fucking capitalists
