The good news:

I got carded the other day for some energy drink that has so much caffeine that you have to be 18 to buy it. I was so weirded out that you have to be 18 to drink an energy drink that I didn't realize they CARDED ME FOR 18!!!!!

Bad lighting but I'll take it. wink

The bad news:

I work at least...

uh oh...its official....Im old....I dont get carded anymore frown but seriously, I need some Sarah time....someone who tells me how it is without the bs.......dude, cause Im in a world of shit right now......and on a positive note, Im glad you like your job....mine is cool but the constant shift change is making me feel a 1,000 yrs old right now.....my kids are forgetting what I look like..... surreal

Carded for an energy drink? People actually do that? I mean, I understand carding for spraypaint or certain types of acidic compounds....but, uh, how bandly can someone get fucked up on caffeine? And what's the worst that'll happen? They'll stay up late and get a lot of work done? That doesn't sound that bad to me.

I haven't been carded since I was 17. I used to feel great about it at the time....but now I just feel old. And the thing is, I'm NOT old....I just look old. Which, again, is great when you're 17....but at 30....well, you feel a little down about it sometimes.

I'm glad you like your new job. I know what you mean about feeling over-worked. But you'll settle into a routine soon. It's always like that when you start a new position, somewhere.

Just out of curiosity, what is it you do, now?

OMG. Okay so yesterday I was having SG flashbacks to when I first joined a couple years ago and I remembered this chick that bugged the crap out of me. She didn't do anything wrong and there wasn't anything horribly obnoxious about her but she just got under my skin.

So then I began this obsession with finding out if she's still on the site....

Okay so I have a really long rant that most anyone would not want to read so I put it in the spoiler. If you don't have kids you probably won't care to read it as it's the meandering frustrations of a mother and I just need to get it out. So, if you are not interested in a long read proceed to the alt...

I'm working today, but not sure for how long and then watching the Piston/Magic game when I get home. I have no plans tonight!

So buy Waylon a t-shirt and tell him you are proud of him.

To such a large degree we don't make our children's personalities so much as discover them and adapt to them. Not that you shouldn't try to teach good citizenship, but accept from the beginning that individual results may vary. Ultimately our only real victory condition is to love our children unconditionally.

Spring break is not so much fun this year. Yesterday I had a 7:00 am breakfast meeting with a partner at a law firm I have been interviewing with. Mind you, this is right after the time change and I was EXTRA surreal when we met.

Then today, with the sun shining brightly and the temp a balmy 62 or so, I am stuck taking some...

My dad has terrible problems with his feet. They say a lot of them could have been avoided, if only they'd been detected when he was younger. Good to know that they caught this in your son at an early age. smile

So I didn't get the commercial and that's fine with me. I really didn't want to do it and I think I'm going to really reconsider why I sign up for things like that. I'm thinking it's some kind of self torture and that I must enjoy freaking myself out and pushing the boundaries of my comfort zone.

Or something.

Ugh. So I went to an audition for a television commercial today. Sometimes I don't even know why I do these things. I mean, I feel completely ridiculous and I'd be shooting this thing in front of a green screen if I got it. I'd have my hair blowing around and I'd have to do the poised yet chipper talky-talk for the camera. That doesn't...

Today's lesson:

Do not attempt to run down the stairs when your entire right leg is asleep. The result is violent, spastic motions to stop falling and I nearly took out my dog on the way down.

Btw... why the fuck does he have to be RIGHT there everytime I take a step??? I have no idea how many times I've kicked him in the...

That's funny as hell, my dog does the same thing.
One time I over worked my calves, and had to walk on my tiptoes for a week and a half. I was a little taller and that's all that matters. There's a lesson in there somewhere.

I'm such a dork. I have had this goal of doing the rubik's cube in less than 2 minutes since last fall. I abandoned the project months ago because I couldn't go faster without breaking my nails.

We actually used one cube so much the stickers were peeling off and I bought another one. That one never really worked very well and while we tried...

I recently (within 3 1/2 weeks) adopted a dog named Cortez. I personally despise his name and the historical figure he was surely named after. The people who had him were white and I think they just chose it because he is half Chihuahua and half miniature pinscher and looks like the Taco Bell dog. But did they even know who Hernando Cortez was? If...
