We did the beach and bonfire this weekend with some friends for their son's birthday. Very cool. Left there at around 11pm very satisfied and smelling pleasantly of cook fire smoke. I love that smell... It's so comforting and, hell I dunno. Just like the smell.
Hope your weekend was nice despite the feelings of impending 'This isn't going to be fun at all..."

OK, in all honesty? the domesticity thing is getting me hot LOL. I love the scrapbook thing, geeky hobbies are awesome. I love to travel and am just getting to the point of being able to do it again - both having the cash and older kids. Starting young, I missed out on a lot of stuff my peers got to do and I'm making up for it now.
Sorry to hear about your grandmother, That is hard and I am very sorry. My mom's older (83 - I'm adopted) and recently had a heart attack - she's fine but she's moving a lot slower then she had been and I can see the writing on the wall - and it's pretty scary so I know - to a small degree - what you're going through.
Africa, wow, that sounds very cool. The next trip I want to take is to go back to Tuscany - I have some relatives there and the last time I went I was way too young to appreciate it.
