Yay, the weekend is just about here.
Boo... I just got the full report on the home inspection for the house we're trying to buy. Some of the stuff we knew, other stuff we didn't and some of it is going to be expensive to fix. I'm still scrambling to come up with the down payment, we need furniture and now I need to think about an additional probably $10-$15,000 in repairs. In a lot of ways, things will get much easier once the divorce is final. Then I can show I'm no longer responsible financially for my other house, my debt to income ratio will drop and I can borrow against the equity in the house to make the repairs. But some, like the electrical system (water leaking into the main panel) and heat (old heating style system, no vents in bedrooms
) Some things are re-negotiable, but others are not. Hmm.
