People are always trying to give me their two cents worth on
how I should behave, what I should pursue, who I should be
with, what I should dress like, how I should carry myself, blah
blah, blah.

It is enough to make me want to blow chunks in all of their faces.

But if you know anything about me, you know that I am a very
tolerant individual. So I will listen to what people have to say,
even smile for effect, but all the while in my mind I am imagining
myself on the Mediterranean, sipping champagne with an object
of my desire, some Mediterranean-type, perhaps an Italian or
Greek.

Yes, I am graceful, even under duress.

Those same people who try to mold me, they themselves have
immeasurably screwed up their own lives, and thus they believe
that their salvation will come through me. But I am no one's
salvation, hell, I can't even save myself.

After they squander all their precious time on blah-blah-blahs
at my expense, I hope they eventually realize I haven't heard
a single word they've said, and that if I seemed to be doing the
exact opposite of what they were telling me to do, it wasn't
intentional, oh no, not one bit.
