So, for the first time in 7 weeks, Ill be back on my own in the flat. Doplex will be moving onto pastures new, and its probably for the best for both of us! 
These last few weeks, the poor sod has been living in my front room, sleeping on an airbed, having to put up with me being mister hyperactive (yes, Im the same at home as I am when Im outnabout), and being subjected to Big Brother and Casualty on a regular basis.
But its been fun and its proved a big point to me. Ive never shared a place with anyone before, and I was sure I wouldnt cope. But I think I coped ok, and on the whole its been pretty damn cool. If I had two bedrooms, I doubt Id let the bugger move out or if he did, Id get someone else in.

On a less serious note, the rest of this journal is inspired by a hungover conversation me and AlwaysBeingBlue had after the Rampage night. She asked my what my best gig ever was - but I couldnt remember.
So this week I went through all my gig tickets (yes, I have ALL of them!) and made a list:
1. Fugazi, Stratford Rex May 1999
First time I saw Fugazi, Shellac supported, and my mate Tony spent the whole eve on tenterhooks waiting for a phone call telling him his wife was giving birth. Yes, he was THAT desperate to see Fugazi
2. Go-Gos, Shepherds Bush Empire Feb 1995
I saw the Go-Gos two nights in a row, having loved them since I was 13. I was really ill for both nights, but fought my way down the front both nights. Ended up being bedridden with the nastiest flu for the following week. But it was worth it, cos I met Jane Wiedlin and Kathy Valentine!
3. Ramones, Astoria June 1995
Two nights at the Astoria, and the smallest venue I ever saw the Ramones in. Was definitely the best time I ever saw them, and a massive crowd of us went both nights.
4. Pixies, Kilburn National - July 1989
Loudest gig I ever went to. The Pixies played the set in alphabetical order, starting with Bone Machine and ending with Into The White
5. Descendents, Highbury Garage - Jan 1997
First time they came over to England, and the first time I saw them. Awesome.
6. Kenickie, Highbury Garage - Apr 1997
Lauren Lavernes 19th birthday, and broadcast live on Radio 1. I still have the tape, and Kenickie werent this good ever again.
7. Bouncing Souls, LA2 Sept 2001
The Souls are generally always great live (apart from one gig I saw them do, which is definitely my worst gig of all time), but they were insane this night. And Greg has never been as entertaining as he was this night he always seems so jaded now.
8. Siouxsie And The Banshees, Brighton Centre June 1984
My first gig! They started with Dazzle and ended with Switch.
9. Dead Kennedys, Mean Fiddler April 2004
Ok, so Jello is no longer with them, but I never saw DK first time round. The songs were still amazing, the band were absolutely shit hot, and a 1000 old punks went mental. I dont think you can give them shit for that.
10. U2, Earls Court Aug 2001
The hilarious thing about this is that Im not the biggest U2 fan. But they were astounding this evening on the Elevation Tour. They played everything you wanted them to play, and it was such an EVENT. Plus no gimmicks, which Ive always hated.
OK, if you lasted that long, I applaud you.
Perhaps you could even let me know about some of your fave gigs (sorry, Kaiser Chefs and Kasabian dont count Im afraid )
In the meantime, I hope yall have a fab weekend
